Relevant Sectors: Agriculture, Livelihoods, Microfinance, Rural, Urban.

🎯 The Role: Project Officer – Leading Community Transformation

The Project Officer will be the central figure in executing and managing our established Woman Livelihood program. This role is perfect for an entrepreneurial-minded professional ready to take full ownership of the program lifecycle, from implementation to evaluation and continuous improvement.

While the control hub is in Kolkata, the position involves significant fieldwork, backed by occasional Work From Home (WFH) facilities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Community Mobilization & SHGs: A critical micro-niche of this role involves the formation of new Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and taking control of existing ones in rural areas. Proven success in forming and mobilizing SHGs is a major advantage.

  • Stakeholder & Team Leadership: Building strong relationships with community leaders, partners, and funders. You will supervise and mentor a team of local Volunteers and support staff, ensuring a collaborative and results-driven environment.

  • Program Implementation: Opening multiple Community Training Centres (CTCs) across remote rural areas, screening eligible women beneficiaries, supervising production, and managing forward linkages.

  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Developing and implementing frameworks to assess program impact, and collecting/analyzing data, specifically utilizing Salesforce CRM.

  • Advocacy: Serving as a spokesperson, representing Tamas Society in public forums, media engagements, and creating engaging content, including YouTube videos.

  • Liaison: Effectively collaborating with various key stakeholders, including Panchayat, BDO, DM, NGOs, and Corporate partners.
