Your Mission: Key Responsibilities
As the Research & Documentation Officer, you'll be at the forefront of capturing and communicating the foundation's vital work. Your responsibilities will include:
Driving Research Initiatives: Lead and support both qualitative and quantitative research, including FGDs, project evaluations, and stakeholder feedback collection, to accurately assess project impact and extract valuable learnings.
Curating Success Narratives: Systematically document project learnings, develop compelling case studies, and craft inspiring success stories.
Enhancing Communication: Play a key role in developing comprehensive reports, engaging presentations, and critical donor communications.
Building Knowledge Hubs: Establish and maintain a centralized repository for all documentation, visuals, and learning materials, fostering internal knowledge sharing and external visibility.
Boosting Outreach: Support the creation of high-impact communication products, such as audio-visual films, video commentaries, and engaging social media campaigns.
Data Integrity & Skill Building: Collaborate with the MIS Officer to validate data, construct a robust photo-data repository, and enhance staff capabilities in writing, documentation, and reporting.
On-Ground Monitoring Support: Assist donors with field visits and provide necessary on-ground monitoring and evaluation support.
Who We're Looking For: Ideal Candidate Profile
Yeh Ek Soch Foundation is searching for an individual who combines academic rigor with practical experience:
Educational Background: A Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is highly preferred.
Professional Experience: Possess 2–3 years of relevant experience in research, documentation, reporting, or communication, ideally within the education or broader development sector.
Exceptional Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities in both English and Hindi, with a proven track record in documenting success stories, case studies, and progress reports.
Digital Proficiency: Competency in MS Office, Google Suite, and digital tools for data management, reporting, and content creation (e.g., Canva, basic video editing software) is essential.
Qualitative Research Expertise: Experience in conducting and documenting FGDs, interviews, and various qualitative research activities.
Organizational Acumen: Strong ability to coordinate with field teams and stakeholders, manage significant volumes of documentation, and meet strict deadlines.
Social Media Engagement: Familiarity with major social media platforms (Twitter, YouTube, etc.) and a proactive approach to enhancing project visibility.
Flexibility to Travel: Willingness to undertake occasional travel for field visits and data collection.
Essential Equipment: Ownership of a personal laptop is mandatory for this position.
