About the Project and the Role
The project focuses on understanding and documenting the pastoral communities of Maharashtra. The selected Research Associate will be at the forefront of this endeavor, with responsibilities that span the entire research lifecycle.
Key Project Goals Include:

Economic Analysis: Analyzing the contribution of pastoralism to rural economies and food systems.

Job Description:
The role involves extensive fieldwork and analytical work. Key responsibilities include:
Planning the research design and developing instruments for data collection.
Conducting field visits and collecting data across Nagpur, Wardha, Gadchiroli, and Chandrapur districts.
Undertaking travel between Pune and Nagpur as required by the project.
Editing and performing analysis of the collected data.
Writing reports based on the research findings.
Qualifications and Compensation
CSD is looking for a dedicated candidate with a strong academic background and relevant experience.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree or a Post Graduate degree in Sociology, Social Work, Economics, or Life Sciences is required.
Desirable Attributes: Preference will be given to candidates with a Master's degree in the aforementioned subjects, two years of relevant experience, and those who are based in Nagpur.
Consolidated Pay: The position offers a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 35,000 per month.
