Key Responsibilities

The Research Associate will craft innovative policy outputs and support ongoing multidisciplinary research initiatives:

  • Research & Content Creation: Develop commentaries, issue briefs, discussion papers, and audio-visual formats such as podcasts and videos. Draft accompanying social media content for research dissemination.

  • Project & Proposal Development: Assist in designing long-term research proposals, conducting preliminary literature reviews, and identifying potential donors or strategic partners.

  • Editorial & Project Support: Co-manage editorial duties for SPRF’s Curated Voices Project, review outgoing research products for quality and coherence, and represent the foundation at external conferences and events.

Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Research Associate position must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, or related disciplines.

  • Professional Experience: 2–3 years of relevant research experience within a think tank, academic institution, or non-profit organization.

  • Analytical Tools: Strong quantitative and qualitative research capabilities. Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as SPSS, STATA, or R is a distinct advantage.

  • Core Competencies: Exceptional written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
