Your Role and Responsibilities

As the Research Manager, you will be the anchor of IIH’s research portfolio. This is a hands-on role that requires both independent leadership and collaborative mentoring. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading Research Projects: You will coordinate and lead select research projects, primarily focusing on TB diagnostics, case finding, and other public health areas like mental health and health equity.

  • Capacity Building: A crucial part of this role involves mentoring and building the capacity of IIH personnel. You'll conduct workshops and one-on-one sessions on study design, data analysis, and scientific writing.

  • Publication and Dissemination: You'll be responsible for drafting and submitting manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals and donors, ensuring that research findings are translated into actionable insights.

  • Protocol and Ethics: You will prepare study protocols, consent documents, and ethics submissions, ensuring compliance with both Indian and international guidelines.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: You'll be the key liaison between IIH and government TB programs, academic partners, and donors, aligning research priorities and disseminating findings effectively.

Who We're Looking For

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A Master's degree (or higher) in epidemiology, public health, medicine, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing health research projects, with a preference for experience in TB or infectious diseases.

  • At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

  • Demonstrated leadership in research design, project management, and mentoring.

  • Proficiency in scientific writing, data analysis, and publication workflows.

  • Familiarity with India's public health research ecosystem, ethics, and regulatory frameworks.

Compensation and Logistics

This is a consulting role for a duration of 12-18 months. The compensation will be competitive and based on the candidate's research credentials and market standards. During your stay in Dalsinghsarai, IIH will provide a single-room, semi-furnished accommodation. All project-related travel will be covered by the organization.
