Revenue Accountant: Join a Non-Profit with a Mission to Do Good

Candid, a leading non-profit dedicated to providing essential data and insights about the social sector, is looking for a Revenue Accountant to join its dynamic finance team. What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the finance department, the Revenue Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Candid’s financial records. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Processing journal entries for contributions, grants, and subscription revenue, with a focus on applying accurate revenue recognition standards.

  • Managing grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with all donor and contractual terms.

  • Overseeing accounts receivable for grants and other revenue sources, and resolving discrepancies with sales and development teams.

  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, including general ledger reconciliations.

  • Supporting external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to revenue transactions.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment to support various accounting projects.

Who We’re Looking For: Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proactive, detail-oriented approach. To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • At least three years of accounting experience, with a preference for a background in non-profit or SaaS environments.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.

  • A solid understanding of GAAP and non-profit accounting standards, including ASC 606.

  • Experience with NetSuite ERP and Salesforce is a plus.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, remote position with a standard 35-hour work week. The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $70,000, with adjustments made based on location and experience.
