About the Role
The Senior Accounts Officer is a pivotal role, responsible for the entire financial health of the organization. This isn't just a desk job—it's about ensuring every rupee is accounted for and strategically used to advance the organization's goals. You'll be the financial backbone, handling everything from daily transactions to high-level strategic planning.
Your responsibilities will span several key areas:
Financial Management & Accounting: You'll be the guardian of financial data, maintaining meticulous books, ledgers, and reconciliations. You'll oversee all financial transactions, prepare detailed financial statements, and monitor budgets to ensure fiscal discipline.
Budgeting and Donor Fund Management: You'll work closely with leadership to develop realistic budgets and track donor funds with precision. Your timely and accurate financial reports will build trust with donors and ensure the sustainability of key programs.
Compliance & Audit: You'll be the expert on statutory regulations like FCRA, Income Tax, TDS, PF, and ESI. You'll ensure the organization is always compliant and prepare for and coordinate with auditors, safeguarding the integrity of its financial operations.
Payroll and Employee Benefits: You'll manage the monthly payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payments, statutory deductions, and documentation like payslips and Form 16s.
Systems, Processes and Support: You'll maintain a robust system for financial records, continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency. You'll also provide essential training and support to program teams, ensuring financial literacy and compliance across the organization.
Who We're Looking For
VOICE 4 Girls is seeking a candidate who is not only technically proficient but also deeply committed to their mission. The ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years specifically in the NGO sector or working on donor-funded projects.
In-depth knowledge of FCRA and other NGO compliances.
Proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel is a must.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
The ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
A genuine commitment to the mission of empowering adolescent girls.
