The NorthSouth Foundation (NSF), a dedicated volunteer-driven non-profit established in the USA in 1989 and India in 2004, is seeking a Senior Associate for School Relations to join their team in Vijayawada, India. This pivotal role focuses on improving learning outcomes for students in government and budget private schools by fostering academic excellence and leadership skills.
Core Mission and Leadership
The Senior Associate will lead and expand NSF’s educational activities across India. This role involves managing a field team and interns while serving as the primary liaison between the foundation, school systems, government departments, and various CSR or NGO partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving stakeholder engagement, overseeing teacher training, and delivering results against defined KPIs and KRAs.
Key Responsibilities
The position encompasses several critical areas of operation:
Program Management: Overseeing the execution of NSF assessments and learning initiatives in government schools.
Capacity Building: Conducting training sessions for teachers and school coordinators on Competency-Based Education (CBE) and Competency-Based Assessment (CBA).
Strategic Engagement: Building relationships with high-level education officials, such as Commissioners and State Project Directors (SPDs), to secure long-term partnerships and MoUs.
Advocacy: Representing NSF at government forums and education conferences to promote competency-based assessments.
Monitoring & Reporting: Defining and tracking KPIs related to student participation and preparing analytical reports for leadership and stakeholders.

FeatureRequirementsEducation
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or Social Work.
Experience

Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite; fluency in English is required, with Telugu or Hindi preferred.
Travel
Willingness to travel 3-5 days per month across the region.
