Your Contribution: The Senior Associate's Vital Role
As a Senior Associate within the Surgery Support Program, you'll be at the forefront of this impactful work. This demanding yet deeply rewarding full-time position requires a meticulous and dedicated individual to manage essential program aspects, ensuring seamless support for children undergoing surgical procedures.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Comprehensive Documentation & Data Management: Meticulously maintaining records for each surgery case, including all medical documents, evaluation forms, and financial details. You'll ensure the accuracy and timely updating of both the program's database and physical files, alongside funder-specific tracking.
Strategic Coordination & Case Oversight: Collaborating closely with hospital-based Medical Social Workers (MSWs) to ensure prompt case referrals and comprehensive documentation throughout the surgical process. You'll also assist in scheduling surgeries, tracking timelines, and facilitating fund disbursements.
Impact Reporting & Narrative Creation: Providing daily updates on data collected and case progress to your reporting manager. A crucial part of your role will be crafting five high-quality success stories each month, showcasing the program's impact with photographs and beneficiary testimonials for various funding partners.
Essential Field Engagement: Conducting monthly home visits (4 per month) to gather in-depth case stories, perform follow-up checks, and capture compelling photographs. Additionally, you'll conduct monthly hospital visits (4 per month) to follow up on documentation or billing, and to cultivate strong relationships with hospital MSWs and staff.
Administrative & IT Support: Maintaining and updating Excel trackers, funder reports, and other Management Information Systems (MIS) as required by program needs, and providing general administrative assistance to the organization.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Skills and Experience
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
A Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Public Health, or a related field (a Master’s degree is preferred).
A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a comparable role, preferably within the healthcare or non-profit sectors.
Exceptional documentation and written communication skills across English, Hindi, and Marathi.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
Comfort with field travel within and beyond Mumbai for hospital and home visits.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with diverse stakeholders, including hospitals, MSWs, and beneficiary families.
The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a small team.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with mandatory field visits as per monthly targets.
Compensation and Benefits
Ekam Foundation Mumbai offers a competitive monthly remuneration of up to ₹35,000/-, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
