About the Role

The organisation is looking for an experienced HR Generalist who can independently manage end-to-end HR operations. The ideal candidate should bring hands-on exposure to HR operations, payroll processing, statutory compliance, employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and learning and development (L&D). This role is suited to professionals who enjoy wearing multiple hats and want to make a tangible impact within a mission-driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations

  • Manage the complete employee lifecycle, from onboarding and confirmation to transfers, promotions, and exits.

  • Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and HR documentation.

  • Draft HR letters and other employee-related communication.

Payroll & Statutory Compliance

  • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs and ensure accurate and timely salary processing.

  • Resolve payroll-related queries, manage statutory deductions, and support compensation processes.

  • Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, Shops & Establishment Act, and other applicable Indian labour laws.

  • Liaise with auditors, consultants, and government authorities as required.

Employee Relations & Learning and Development

  • Address employee grievances and support disciplinary processes fairly and transparently.

  • Coordinate induction and training programmes, and maintain up-to-date training records.

  • Drive initiatives that promote employee engagement across the organisation.

Performance Management & Recruitment

  • Support performance appraisal cycles from planning through documentation.

  • Coordinate recruitment activities, from scheduling interviews to smooth onboarding of new hires.

  • Prepare HR reports and track key workforce metrics such as headcount, attrition, and recruitment status.

Skills and Competencies Required

Candidates applying for this role should demonstrate:

  • Strong working knowledge of HR Generalist functions, payroll, and statutory compliance.

  • A solid understanding of Indian labour laws along with proficiency in HRMS/HRIS systems.

  • Good command over MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualification: MBA/PGDM in Human Resources, or MSW with an HR specialisation.

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant HR Generalist experience.

  • Work Location: Mohan Cooperative, Delhi.
