The Akshaya Patra Foundation stands as one of the world's largest non-profits, currently operating across 16+ states with over 78 state-of-the-art kitchens. Every single day, the foundation serves over 2.25 million meals and 1 million morning snacks to school children.
With an ambitious "Mission 2030" to serve 6 million meals per day, the foundation is seeking dedicated operations professionals to help scale this sustainable and efficient food delivery model.
Role Overview: Senior Executive – Operations
As a Senior Executive in Operations, you will be the backbone of the unit's efficiency. The role requires a meticulous professional to oversee the entire lifecycle of food production—from raw material receipt to the delivery of finished meals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Production Excellence: Ensuring daily food production aligns with approved menu plans and production schedules.
Compliance & Safety: Maintaining strict adherence to FSSAI guidelines, internal food safety protocols, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Supply Chain Management: Overseeing inventory control, material planning, and stock optimization to ensure on-time delivery.
Quality Assurance: Managing quality checks across production, distribution, and vehicle maintenance.
Continuous Improvement: Fostering a culture of safety, quality, and workplace positivity while implementing best-in-class operations practices.
Who Should Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
The foundation is looking for candidates who possess a blend of technical expertise and a passion for social change.
Education: B.Tech or B.Sc in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, or Microbiology. Candidates with an M.Sc or M.Tech are highly preferred.
Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on experience in the Food Processing Industry, FMCG sector, or managing large-scale commercial kitchens.
Core Skills: Strong knowledge of food safety (GHP, GMP), team handling capabilities, proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word), and excellent coordination skills.
