The Role: A Blend of Creativity and Impact
The Social Media Coordinator will be the architect of Sarthak’s digital presence, acting as a crucial link between the grassroots work and a global audience. The position requires a unique combination of field-based content creation and desk-based digital strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
Field Storytelling: Regular travel, primarily within Lucknow, to Yellow Rooms and field sites to capture high-quality photos and videos of activities, trainings, and events.
Content Production: Creating compelling short videos, reels, and engaging posts in both English and Hindi. This includes conducting authentic interviews with children, educators, and parents.
Digital Management: Taking full ownership of all social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, YouTube) and the Sarthak Foundation website (WordPress), ensuring consistent growth and engagement through creative campaigns.
Strategic Growth: Utilizing an understanding of social media trends and analytics to continuously suggest and execute new ideas that increase online visibility and donor engagement.
Who Should Apply?
The ideal candidate is a graduate in Media, Communications, Journalism, or has equivalent experience, and brings 1 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
Exceptional Storytelling: A master of concise, engaging, and error-free writing in English, with excellent Hindi language skills a significant plus.
Digital Production Prowess: Proficiency in industry-standard photo and video editing tools like CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Photoshop.
Web Management: Practical knowledge of WordPress for maintaining and updating the organization's website.
Passion & Resourcefulness: A smart, resourceful individual who takes initiative and has a high-energy, can-do attitude coupled with a deep passion for social impact. The role requires being comfortable interacting with children and communities.
While experience in the NGO or development sector and basic graphic design skills are a bonus, the most critical ingredient is a drive to shape and lead storytelling strategies that truly matter.
