The Opportunity: State Value Chain Manager

As the State Value Chain Manager, you will be at the forefront of policy formulation, supervision, and strategic program implementation. Your expertise will be crucial in bolstering FPOs, enhancing post-harvest practices, and securing lucrative market linkages for agricultural produce. This role demands a deep understanding of the agricultural sector, rural development challenges, and the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders to execute impactful national-level initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Your role will be pivotal in driving the success of FPOs and farmers, encompassing:

• Agri-Business Plan Development and Execution: Crafting and implementing robust agri-business plans tailored for FPOs.

• Capacity Building: Providing hands-on guidance to FPOs and their farmer-members on critical post-harvest techniques like cleaning, grading, sorting, waxing, watering, packaging, labeling, and food processing.

• Market Linkage Facilitation: Establishing and strengthening vital market connections for FPO products.

• Promotional Support: Facilitating FPO participation in exhibitions, expos, and melas to boost visibility and sales.

• Export Facilitation: Supporting FPOs with the necessary facilities and institutional backing to export their products.

• Reporting & Coordination: Regularly apprising the State FPO Mission Manager of progress and coordinating closely with Data Analysts and FPO Development Officers to ensure accurate and real-time data entry on the state-level portal.

Who Should Apply?

Samvedna Development Society is looking for a highly motivated individual with:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of working experience with FPOs or other relevant organizations/institutions.

• Education: A Post-graduate degree in Agriculture Marketing, Post-Harvest Technology, Agri. Business Management, or Food Technology.

• Industry Knowledge: Strong background in Agriculture, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Post-Harvest Management, and Rural Development.

• Age Limit: Up to 45 years.

• Salary Package: An attractive compensation of 14 – 16 LPA.

Location: Andhra Pradesh
