The Role: Trainee – School Relationship Officer (SRO)
The Trainee – SRO plays a vital role in bridging the gap between Akshaya Patra’s centralized kitchens and the schools they serve. Based in the Distribution Department, the officer ensures that the operations run seamlessly on the ground.
Core Responsibilities:
Relationship Management: Develop and maintain positive working dynamics with school principals, teachers, and administrative staff.
On-Site Monitoring: Conduct regular school visits to monitor meal distribution, gather feedback, and ensure timely delivery according to prescribed schedules.
Quality Control: Monitor the quantity, quality, hygiene, and temperature of the food delivered to ensure it meets strict safety standards.
Problem Solving: Identify and promptly resolve distribution-related challenges such as delivery delays, food shortages, or quality concerns.
Training and Coordination: Provide necessary training to Cooks-cum-Helpers (CCHs) and school children, organize kitchen visits, and manage donor visits.
Data Management: Maintain accurate, daily records of meal distribution, school attendance, and meal uptake.
Candidate Requirements and Eligibility
The foundation is looking for energetic individuals who possess a blend of technical knowledge and strong interpersonal skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Hotel Management, B.Sc. Agriculture, or a related field.
Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience in food production or large-scale kitchens (fresher-friendly).
Key Skills Required:
Knowledge of food industry operations, kitchen management, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and GHP (Good Hygiene Practices).
Strong communication, coordination, and team-handling skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel and Word) for documentation.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Mandatory Criteria:
Eligibility: This specific recruitment drive is open only for female candidates (Vacancies available: 2).
Transportation: Candidates must own a two-wheeler vehicle and possess a valid driving license, as the role demands daily school visits.
