Transform Education: Join Ashayen Trust as Training & Curriculum Coordinator in Bhubaneswar 🌟

Are you a passionate education specialist ready to drive systemic change for street-connected children? Ashayen Trust, a dedicated not-for-profit in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, is seeking an innovative and dedicated Training & Curriculum Coordinator for its crucial End-to-End (E2E) Programme.

This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to design, innovate, and implement a high-quality, inclusive curriculum and build the capacity of educators who work with one of the most vulnerable groups of children.

The Opportunity: Innovate for Impact

The Training & Curriculum Coordinator will be the pedagogical cornerstone of Ashayen Trust's community-based education efforts. The organisation's mission is to ensure every street-connected child has access to education, protection, and growth in a safe environment.

Your work will be split between 80% office-based tasks—curriculum development, content creation, and training design—and 20% field-based engagement—mentoring educators and conducting training sessions.

Key Areas of Responsibility

This multifaceted role spans curriculum design, quality assurance, capacity building, and data-driven monitoring.

1. Curriculum Design & Innovation

You will lead the creation of a dynamic curriculum for Primary and Upper-Primary levels, deeply informed by the NCF frameworks (NCF 2005 & NCF 2023). This is not just about academics; it's about holistic development. Key focus areas include:

  • Integrating life skills, behavioural development, and co-curricular learning (art, storytelling, sports).

  • Developing a logical learning framework with clear outcomes across literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, and socio-emotional growth.

  • Introducing innovative Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs), leveraging low-cost, locally available resources, and embracing education technology tools like ChatGPT and blended learning platforms.

2. Teaching-Learning Quality & Mentorship

The Coordinator will act as a quality champion, continuously monitoring and supporting the teaching-learning practices in the community centers. This involves:

  • Conducting learning gap assessments and customising lesson plans to address specific needs.

  • Guiding educators in differentiated and inclusive pedagogy essential for multi-level classrooms.

  • Providing crucial hands-on mentoring, continuous feedback, and demo classes.

3. Training & Capacity Building (Internal & External)

A significant part of the role is designing and delivering structured training modules. This extends beyond internal teams to include Government school teachers, focusing on inclusive education practices for at-risk and street-connected children. Training modules will cover essential topics like classroom management, effective use of TLMs, and learning assessments.

Required Profile: Skills and Experience

Ashayen Trust is looking for a candidate who is passionate about marginalized communities and possesses the following:

  • Education: A B.Ed. degree is mandatory or equivalent experience in a similar job profile.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in curriculum development or teaching at the Primary/Upper-Primary levels.

  • Expertise: Strong familiarity with NCF 2005 and NCF 2023 frameworks and proven experience in designing and delivering teacher training modules.

  • Digital Proficiency: Sound knowledge of digital tools for education, including MS Word, Excel, and advanced platforms like ChatGPT and MIS tools for data analysis.

  • Core Skills: Strong pedagogical knowledge, fluency in English, excellent leadership, mentoring, and field-coordination abilities.
