United Way Bengaluru (UWBe) is actively seeking passionate and experienced professionals to lead impactful initiatives across climate action, rural development, and corporate partnerships. Based in Bengaluru and other key locations, these roles offer a chance to contribute to meaningful social change and environmental sustainability.

🌱 Climate Action and Community Engagement Roles

UWBe is focused on significant Climate Action initiatives, including lake rejuvenation, water conservation, afforestation, biodiversity conservation, and waste management.

• Senior Executive - Community Champion (Consultant)

  • Focus: Leading community engagement and ownership models for Climate Action. This role emphasizes grassroots engagement, documentation of community-led innovations, and proposal support.

  • Compensation & Experience: INR 6-8 LPA. Requires 4-6 years of experience, a Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Social Work or Development Studies, and mandatory proficiency in Kannada.

• Assistant Manager / Manager - Climate Action Projects

  • Focus: Leading implementation of lake restoration, afforestation, and water conservation projects, involving strong field coordination, stakeholder engagement (including government departments and vendors), monitoring, and reporting.

  • Compensation & Experience: INR 10-13 LPA (based on level). Requires a Graduate/Postgraduate in Environmental Science, Forestry, or related fields. Experience needed: 8-10+ years (Manager) / 7-8 years (Assistant Manager). Proficiency in Kannada is mandatory. Projects cover Karnataka & Tamil Nadu.

🧑‍🌾 Rural Development and Education

UWBe is also driving programs like Rural Rising and STEM education.

• Assistant Manager - Projects (Rural Rising)

  • Focus: Managing end-to-end delivery of rural development programs in a defined geography, with a strong emphasis on field-intensive work, community ownership, partner coordination, and government engagement.

  • Location: Bagepalli, Chikkaballapura, Karnataka.

  • Compensation & Experience: INR 8-10 LPA + Variable Pay. Requires 7-8 years of experience in development/CSR project implementation and a relevant Postgraduate degree. Strong communication in Kannada and English is essential.

• STEM Project Coordinator

  • Focus: Implementing and supporting STEM Labs in government schools through teacher training, student mentoring, classroom demonstrations, and monitoring learning outcomes.

  • Location: Chikkaballapura / Kolar.

  • Experience & Qualifications: Diploma/Bachelor's in Engineering or a STEM-related field. 1-2 years' experience in STEM or science education (3+ years preferred). Proficiency in Kannada and English is required.

🤝 Strategic Corporate Partnerships

To sustain and grow its mission, UWBe is strengthening its fundraising arm.

• Manager - Corporate Partnerships

  • Focus: Providing strategic leadership in fundraising, corporate partnerships, and volunteer engagement. The role involves building long-term relationships with CSR partners, foundations, and High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs). Key responsibilities include managing an annual fundraising target of ₹40-50 Cr and overseeing grants of ₹50-60 Cr.

  • Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka.

  • Compensation & Experience: INR 18-22 LPA + Variable Pay. Requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years in the development sector. Fluency in English and Hindi is mandatory, and knowledge of Kannada is an advantage.
