Join Ujaas: Be Part of the Change in Menstrual Health
Awareness leads to empowerment, and every conversation can create meaningful change.
That belief drives Ujaas, an initiative of the Aditya Birla Education Trust working to improve Menstrual Health Management (MHM) in urban and rural India. Ujaas is now expanding into new districts across Maharashtra and is looking for passionate women to join its team as Facilitators in Pune (Daund).
Why this work matters
Menstruation is still surrounded by silence, myths, and stigma in many communities. That silence affects girls’ school attendance, women’s health, and confidence. Ujaas works to break it by training the people communities already trust, such as teachers, Anganwadi workers, and Self Help Group members, so that accurate information reaches homes, classrooms, and villages. The goal is a #PeriodFriendlyWorld.
The role: Facilitator, Pune (Daund)
Facilitators are the link between Ujaas’s vision and the communities it serves. The role combines training, coordination, and documentation.
Key responsibilities
Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions with Self Help Groups (SHGs), school teachers, and Anganwadi workers (ICDS).
Obtain the necessary district-level permissions from departments such as Education, ICDS, and Tribal Welfare.
Coordinate with other facilitators to plan and support field activities.
Validate and monitor district-level data and reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all activities.
Who should apply
Ujaas is looking for someone with:
2–5 years of relevant experience
A postgraduate degree, preferably in Social Work or Sociology (MA/MSW preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Negotiation and coordination abilities
Basic data handling and documentation skills
A genuine passion for community work and women’s health, especially Menstrual Health Management
The role suits someone who is as comfortable in a district office securing approvals as in a village training session, and who sees data and documentation as tools for tracking real impact.
What you will gain
Beyond the job itself, this is a chance to work on the ground with a mission-driven organisation backed by the Aditya Birla Education Trust. You will help build local capacity, strengthen community health awareness, and contribute to lasting social change across Maharashtra.
How to apply
If you are a driven and committed woman who wants to create meaningful impact in menstrual health management, Ujaas would love to hear from you. Send your resume and a brief cover letter to:
Be a part of the change. Empower communities. Build a #PeriodFriendlyWorld.
